Shelby Farms Greenline

The Shelby Farms Greenline is a 10.6-mile (17 km) multi-use urban trail that stretches from Tillman Street in Binghampton (east of Midtown Memphis) to the Old Cordova Railroad Station. Built on a former CSX railway corridor, it offers a scenic, flat, and accessible route for walking, running, cycling, and rollerblading. The trail is managed by the Shelby Farms Park Conservancy, which also oversees the adjacent Shelby Farms Park, one of the largest urban parks in the United States.

Trail Features

  • Shade and Scenery: The trail is largely shaded by mature oaks and other trees, providing a cool and green environment, especially during summer months. It also features wooden trestles over scenic wetland and riparian areas.

At its western terminus, the Greenline connects to Shelby Farms Park, a 4,500-acre urban park offering a wide range of outdoor activities:
